Breaking Rules

I have a few rules when it comes to fashion for whatever reason. These rules normally don't go with trends but they seem to keep me sane and out of the "what the *bleep* was that" category. Sometimes though those rules become a pain, like the guy on Sunday who asks me to swap his meat and bun on a double breakfast sandwich every Sunday*.  So today I decided to break a few of those rules. Starting with denim on denim and then pairing black and blue. And I have to say that I really like the way it worked out!
I'm a student so my life is filled with papers, Shakespeare, dead people who are important (I'm talking about you Thaddeus Stevens) math problems that only an insane person subjects themselves to and test upon test. Sometimes those tests involve multiple items off that list. One in particular was an in class essay that I was required to write on 3 short stories (The Painted Door, Hills Like White Elephants and The One's Who Walk Away From Omelas) for English. This was basically the essay from Hell, it took almost 6 full 45 minute periods to write the essay not counting the two and a half days I had for planning. When it was all said and done I was missing the conclusion because I had "used all the allotted time" and I was prepared to take whatever grade I got.
We got the essay back on Friday. I was expecting to see a failing grade on the "content" portion of the grade sheet. But, instead when I turned it to my friend (we set it up so we'd tell each other the grades because we were so afraid of failing) and she told me that I got a 90% I almost fell out of my chair. I couldn't believe it. I mean, the essay was missing a whole paragraph. Albeit a tiny one that is just a rewording of all the other paragraphs but its still important nonetheless. I know that this seems to have nothing to do with breaking rules and at first I didn't think it did but I technically broke a rule with that essay too. Essays can be A-worthy without a conclusion if the rest is like "reading somebody's own pure, unaltered thoughts".
I'm Wearing:
Top: Liz Claiborne (Thrifted)
Jeans: Garage (old)
Scarf: Modcloth
Shoes: UrbanOG (I'm in love with these bad boys)
Ring: Asos (It's a dainty arrow ring that's n/a)

*Dear Richard, YES YOU ARE THE MAN I'M TALKING ABOUT! HOW HARD IS IT TO BE SIMPLE?!?!
