The other night I was browsing through Carrie's (
Wish Wish Wish) archives and came across her
beehive tutorial. I've loved the look of the beehive but never really seemed to master it. I still can't say that I've mastered it but I definitely have got a better understanding of how I can do it and what I can do to improve it. These pictures were taken later in the day at about 6pm so the beehive had been sitting in my hair all day and didn't budge (it did fall a bit but that was expected) and I really didn't have to mess with it much. (That might be because of the 23-I counted-bobby pins I had stuck in my hair). I'd say that with a bit of practice this will become my new favorite updo!
When I was finished with my beehive I felt very 60s-esque so I decided to have a little fun with it. I straightened my fringe, put on some eyeliner, added some pearls, grabbed my cat eye sunglasses and donned a feminine polka dot dress. I really felt like I should have been in a slightly more modern 60s (my dress would not have fit the era). I loved this outfit and I really had fun with it!
I'm Wearing:
Dress: American Rag via
Macy'sSandals: Payless
Pearl Necklace: Don't remember-sorry (
similar)
Pearl Earrings: Gift from my Dad
Sunglasses: Thrifted
Belt: Target
