Burgundy & Navy

Burgundy & Navy

What I'd Wear: Dress: Theory // Cardigan: Mango // Necklace: Peggy Li Creations (linked to her home page because I ♥ all of her things but the necklace featured is here) // Shoulder bag: Daily Look  (comes in 4 colors) //  Shoes: Sole Society

In contrast to Monday's very relaxed, almost too casual outfit this is what I'm dreaming of wearing today! I've fallen in love with burgundy and navy as a color combination. I just think it's so dang pretty and fall worthy. What's your favorite color combo for fall?

Three Ways To Style A Miltary Button Up

We all have those days where we wake up and look into our full closets and decide that we have nothing to wear. On those types of mornings I like to grab things I know are versatile. Today I'm showing you how this Topshop military shirt ( I just bought it!!) can be styled three different ways! Versatility at its best!

3 Ways To Style A Military Button Up: Over A Dress

This is usually the most common styling for me. I love the simplicity. Plus, depending on my mood I can either tie it so you see more of the skirt or I can wear it open. With this dress, I'd probably wear it open.

Three Ways To Wear a Military Button Up: Paired With A Graphic Tee

Zoe Krassen Graphic Tee  (here in a sweatshirt)// Topshop Military Button Up // Topshop Jeans // Oasis Flats // Ring // Kate Spade Handbag //

2. Paired With A Graphic Tee: I have recently fallen in love with this styling. Graphic tee used to scare me but now I love them. They pair with so much! This Zoe Krassen tee is a bit expensive but I love what it says. It's honestly the best thing I've seen on a tee in awhile. It's so true: girls say yes to boys who say no.

Three Ways To Wear A Military Button Up: Tucked in and paired with a skirt

3. Tucked in and paired with a skirt: This is a fail safe for every blogger - a buttoned blouse and a skirt. So classic and it works every time! To give this look a bit of oomph I added a black and white scarf and made sure the skirt was interesting to look at!

Which of these three looks are your favorite? xx Jess

Coral Flamingo

Coral Flamingo
What I'd Wear: Flamingo Tee: Sincerely Jules // Skirt: Nasty Gal // Shoes: Sole Society // Necklace: Bauble Bar // Purse: Rebecca Minkoff // Lipstick: YSL Rouge Volupte in #13

This what I'd wear outfit is really an outfit I'd love to wear. Lately I've been into pair a tee with something a bit fancier for a balanced look that's almost tomboyish (I could swap the heels for flats and ta-da)! My favorite piece in this whole outfit is the Rebecca Minkoff bag. I want one but I'm thinking of getting one in grey for back to school/fall time!

Thank you for reading. xx Jess

Bouquet of the Season

Bouquet of the Season

All products pictured above are from Modcloth, a favorite online retailer of mine!
What I'd Wear Details: Dress (See more fab Modcloth dresses here!!) // Jacket // Shoes // Statement Necklace // Necklace // Sunglasses // Purse

Have you ever just looked at a dress and it made you want to wear multiple colors, fun accessories and killer heels? That was this Modcloth dress for me. The minute I saw it I knew that I couldn't help but add some pops of mint and pair it with coral heels (that are wayyy too tall for this 5' 7 gal but I can dream).  My favorite piece of this outfit actually isn't the dress though it's the jacket-I feel it'd work all the way through spring into summer and then again into fall!

P.S. Also feel free to view this on Wanelo here

Tropical Getaway

Tropical Getaway

What I Wore: Dress: Modcloth // Shoes: Julianne Hough for Sole Society // Hat: Modcloth // Lipstick: YSL in Pink in Paris // Nail Polish: Essie in First Timer

I'm on spring break this week and I really wish I was going on a tropical getaway to someplace with palm trees and sandy beaches. This is an outfit I'd love to wear for a day in a tropical place. For me, I think the hat and shoes sell this outfit for me. If only I wasn't 5 foot 7 those heels would be on the top of my wishlist....

Spring's a coming

Spring's a Coming Outfit Details: Modcloth, Jacket: Topshop, Shoes: Solesociety, Purse: Yoox, Lip Pencil: NARS.

With the warm weather that's creeped back into Buffalo I've been drawn to pastels, dresses and light weight jackets. This outfit would be perfect for any spring occasion but I would wear this for a day at the park or a day outing with friends. What are you dreaming of for spring?

Melon Floral Outfit Details: Top: Modcloth, Pants: J. Crew (On Sale), Shoes: Lulu*s, Bracelets: Baublebar, Sunglasses: Karen Walker (Super Duper), Earrings: Peggy Li
Wednesdays are one of my favorite days of the week (next to Tuesdays and Fridays) but they can also be a pain in the butt. Today it's a bit of both. On the great side I got bought tickets to see Beauty and the Beast the musical when it ventures to Buffalo, Arrow is new tonight and it's only 11 days until a new episode of Once Upon a Time!! Today I thought I'd share a fun, good day Wednesday outfit that is welcoming spring. Because it's taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r to arrive.

Blue Valentine Styling

Blue Dress Styling
What I'd Wear: Dress: Modcloth, Shoes: J. Crew, Sunglasses: Crap Eyewear , Clutch: Yesstyle & Lipstick: Nars

This outfit is heavily inspired by Friday's Hallmark holiday. I love reds and pinks but Kendi and Mara inspired me to make a "Blue Valentine" outfit and I have to say that I love it! And if you're like me and live in an incredibly chilly area you can always throw a cardigan over what you're wearing!

Scallop On Over| Modcloth Cobalt blue dress styling

What I'd be Wearing: Dress: Modcloth, Moto Jacket: Ruche, Shoes: Modcloth, Purse: Forever 21, Lipstick: Mac in Vegas Volt (Amplified), Nail Polish: Nars in Tommorrow's Red

You guys, this outfit is one I'm dying to have! I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone for this week"s What I'd Wear post and I have to say I love it. I'm going to be buying the three main (dress, jacket and shoes) pieces for spring, I can feel it. Like I said though I think this is not something I'd normally wear but I still love it. The dress is perfect for what I consider a "I'm flirty and fun but not that flirty and fun" type of dress and the moto jacket is just the perfect way to seal the deal!! What do you think of this outfit?

Une fête de noel

[What I'd Wear: Dress: French Connection (Seen here on Emily Bett Rickards), Shoes: Modcloth, Necklace: Peggy Li, Bracelet: J. Crew, Lipstick: Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Yu.]
With the Holiday season upon us I thought that I'd share a few looks that I'd wear out to holiday gatherings or on Christmas. I love dressing up for the holidays even if it may seem a bit silly it's still one of my favorite things about the holiday season. In this look I paired a not so basic black dress with a lovely pair of red heels and some sweet accessories. Would you wear this to a holiday gathering?

Plaid, Tartan, Checkerboard.

[Buy these pieces: Dress: Asos/Tassel Necklace: J. Crew [N/A this season] Booties: Tory Burch/Essie Nail  Polish: Stylenomics/Bow Purse: Ted Baker.]

Plaid is always a big fall trend and this year is no exception. I love plaid but sometimes you want to make it girly and to do that I thought wearing it in a dress would be just the way to do it. To make it even more fall appropriate I paired it with brown leather boots and a leather purse! What is your favorite way to make plaid feminie?

Corduroy Pants Styling

As promised here is a second way to style corduroy pants. I bought this J.Crew Factory sweater when I saw that it was on sale because I loved this sweater when J.Crew Factory had it last year but it sold out before I could buy it! So when I saw that they had the print in a cardigan I jumped on it and realized that I could style it with these (or a similar pair) of mustard colored corduroys. My goal for this outfit was to make it fall appropriate and have the hen cardigan be the statement piece or focal point. I 'd wear this layered (see here) with the sleeves rolled once for a finished put together look.  Now that you've seen two ways to style corduroy pants, would you wear them? In case you missed it see me wearing a pair here!

I've been on  a print and pop of color kick lately. The latter is due to a marathon of CW's Arrow, Felicity wears such bright lipstick and I love it. It such a great way to brighten up an outfit. What do you think about using lipstick as a pop of color? Also, cats on a dress-I'm in heaven!
