Halloween Costume (School Edition)

This is the outfit I'll be wearing to school tomorrow (I could add a string of pearls for a full look). It's inspired by this scene in a favorite movie of mine! Then when I get home, I'll change into the "night time costume" of the character I'm portraying so I can give out candy! What are you doing(and dressing up as) for Halloween?

What Does The Fox Say?

This post is later than I'd like but that's life. Sometimes you get busy and things get pushed back. You can't do it all! (Although it'd be easier if I could)! Life has been a bit crazy and it's been too cold/windy to stand outside for prolonged periods of time (it snowed yesterday...) And I've reinforced that I can't do everything. That's why it's been sorta silent around here. It's not a good excuse but it's all I've got for you!
This outfit screams fall to me! The colors, the tights, the chunky sweater! It just all screams fall! This dress is actually one I bought in the spring in Canada but since it's so dang cute I thought that I'd bust it out one more time. It's got a fox print on it (What Does The Fox Say?) which is what made me buy it in the first place! I didn't even bother to try it on I just bought it and hoped for the best! I have to say though, out of all the styling that I've done with this dress, this one is my favorite!
I have a few fun posts planned for next week! One cutesy, one slightly spooky and one spooky story! I like Halloween, it's fun and once I get all my stuff done it'll be even better!

I'm wearing:
Dress: Sirens
Sweater: Target
Tights: Target
Shoes: Payless
Belt: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Target

In the midst of fall!

[What I'd Wear Details: Sweater: LL Bean, Skirt: Chicwish, Booties: Modcloth Necklace: J Crew: NLA, Bracelet: Kiel James Patrick]

It has been colder than what I like to consider fall weather lately so I'm in bundled layers when I'd really like to be in something like this. This outfit is a fall outfit I'd love to wear, and wear, and wear. Leather is a trend that I love right now and I find that making it work for fall is so easy!

How to Wear A Graphic Tee Shirt

On Tuesday I shared with you one of my favorite things to indulge in, wearing tee shirts. Tee shirts are a wardrobe staple that make life easier on busy days. One thing I get asked (by friends) is how to style a tee. Today I thought I'd share with you 4 ways to style a graphic tee.
1. Necklace overlay! This way is so easy to do if you're a fan of statement or chunky necklace. Just throw on the necklace and go! This is probably the quickest and simplest of the three. [Credits: Kacie's Kloset /Merch Maven/Striving Onward]
2. Layer with some patterns! This is my go to style when wearing a graphic tee. If you haven't figured it out by now, I love polka dots! By adding a simple patterned long sleeved shirt underneath the graphic tee I can combine two things that I really love, tees and polka dots! Another fun thing to do with layering patterns and tees is to have the patterned shirt have a collar. This gives a slightly more pulled together look to the simple graphic tee. [See the outfit here!]
3. Tuck it in a skirt! This look is definitely my favorite way to wear a graphic tee. Usually I get a bit Type A with graphic tees that are tucked into into shirts because I usually want the graphics to not be cut off, which is sometimes difficult! And that is the reason why I don't rock this style often! [Credits: Bows and Sequins/Sincerely, Jules/Kendi Everyday/A Beautiful Mess]
4. With a Blazer! Adding a blazer can make what would normally be causal outfit slightly more put together! This is also, as evident, a blogger favorite! [Credits: Bows and Sequins/Sinecerly Jules]

I have a confession....

I adore graphic tee shirts! This might make all of you who know me personally gasp because you'd know that I am rarely seen in anything casual. But once in awhile I feel the need to dress down! I love tee shirts but I've always struggled to make them look slightly less casual without loosing any comfort. So last night I was planning my outfit and I decided to try and dress up a tee shirt by placing a patterned shirt underneath one. I got a lot of compliments on this outfit so I guess it worked!! What's your favorite way to dress up a tee shirt (graphic or otherwise).
I'm Wearing:
Graphic Tee- Target
Striped Shirt- Kohl's
Jeans: Aeropostale
Shoes: Modcloth
Necklace: Sirens

Plaid, Tartan, Checkerboard.

[Buy these pieces: Dress: Asos/Tassel Necklace: J. Crew [N/A this season] Booties: Tory Burch/Essie Nail  Polish: Stylenomics/Bow Purse: Ted Baker.]

Plaid is always a big fall trend and this year is no exception. I love plaid but sometimes you want to make it girly and to do that I thought wearing it in a dress would be just the way to do it. To make it even more fall appropriate I paired it with brown leather boots and a leather purse! What is your favorite way to make plaid feminie?

The Blues

Yesterday, it was pouring most of the day and all I wanted to do was wear a scarf but I didn't have one that would go with the outfit I was wearing. I was bummed for a few minutes before I sucked it up and decided to go with another outfit that was darling but still lack a scarf. Today I set out determined to wear a scarf and I did just that. This anchor scarf is one of my favorite things to wear in colder months because it does give warmth, is a very cute and simple accessory.
I'm Wearing:
Top: Liz Claiborne [thrifted]
Jeans: Forever 21
Shoes: DV Dolce Vita via TJ Maxx
Scarf: Le Chateau
Arrow Ring: Asos
Bag: Target
Sunglasses: Flea market find

Corduroy Pants Styling

As promised here is a second way to style corduroy pants. I bought this J.Crew Factory sweater when I saw that it was on sale because I loved this sweater when J.Crew Factory had it last year but it sold out before I could buy it! So when I saw that they had the print in a cardigan I jumped on it and realized that I could style it with these (or a similar pair) of mustard colored corduroys. My goal for this outfit was to make it fall appropriate and have the hen cardigan be the statement piece or focal point. I 'd wear this layered (see here) with the sleeves rolled once for a finished put together look.  Now that you've seen two ways to style corduroy pants, would you wear them? In case you missed it see me wearing a pair here!
