Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  I hope you and your family are enjoying some time together. I've put together some things I'm thankful for. 

I'm thankful for the obvious things, my family, my friends my animals, and my well being but there are things, the little things, that matter more than anyone would imagine. these little things are the things that make me smile more than anything else. Some of the little things that I'm grateful for are, my passing grade in Algebra 2/Trig (!!!), the cuteness that my cats bring, my ever growing love for people who do good things and have pretty hearts,the internet (duh!) and most of all I'm thankful for the fact that I have people who are willing to listen to me no matter the time of day.

If you've been following my blog for a while you've probably noticed some Kiel James Patrick stuff making it's way into my What I'd Wear posts almost weekly. I love the Kiel Jame Patrick brand. The brand is run by Kiel James Patrick himself in Rhode Island and all of his products are quality made right here in America! What's better than that? Not much, I tell you! For my first purchase I went for the Overboard Knot, because of it's simplicity and wearability. I love the quality of it and I cannot describe to you how happy I am with this purchase. 

Television Inspiration

Lately I've been finding myself incredibly inspired by the TV shows I watch. Most recently I have been inspired by Arrow, a TV show about The Green Arrow (DC Comics). Yes, a TV show where half it's screen time is utilized shows the main characters in leather or dark green hoods inspires my style. Thea and Felicity are the two characters who are constantly inspiring me on Arrow. Both Thea and Felicity's style is modern yet functional. I mean Felicity spends her nights in the basement of a club for Pete's sake, her style has to be functional. Their style doesn't really overlap with mine all that much but that's the fun part of being inspired by them, I get to escape my comfort zone for a place that's fun to play in. This outfit is a directly result of playing outside of my comfort zone. And it is inspired by the girls of Arrow(I could see both Felicity and Thea wearing it) because they kick all kinds of butt.

Happy November! I have grown to love this time of year, summer will always hold my heart but fall is a softer time that's filled with gorgeous colors, countless changes and the marvels of mother nature. When this time of year hits I love pulling out my boots. Boots are my one item that I consider to be a must have for fall/winter, especially here in Buffalo. These boots are the only pair of boots I have that are over-the-knee boots and they're great for when I want to step out of my comfort zone.

I hope you all had a blast doing whatever it is that you do on Halloween! I give out candy and then once all the candy we have is gone I go to my one of my dad's old friend's house for the cotton candy and popcorn he gives out every year! So yummy and such a fun tradition that I look forward to every year! 

Today marks the start of the holiday season. I love the holiday season, the whole feel of it makes me so happy and uplifted. Today is also the day that I start scouring the internet for the perfect boots, perfect sweater and coat. I'm almost always looking for the those during this season. Any suggestions? 

And on a side note, after loving and looking at Kiel James Patrick bracelets for at least year I have finally (!) purchased one (this one) and cannot wait for it to arrive!
