And it's cold again. For a few days we had some glorious weather that was really teasing us about springtime. It was almost 45 degrees last week and now we have a wind chill advisory for wind chills of -15 to -30! It's crazy. I mean I always knew Buffalo had what we like to call bi-polar weather (aka all four season in the matter of two weeks) but this insane! But despite the weather I've been slowly coming out of my "outfit rut" and making my way back into a "I want to get dressed" mood. This winter was especially hard on that and it was royally brutal on my style. 

This outfit features a few of my favorite things, teapots, fishtail braids (that my friend did) and lace. The teapot pin was actually only purchased because I refused to pay shipping at Modcloth but I fell in love with it immediatley when I saw it. It always reminds me of Mrs. Potts from Beauty and The Beast and since that's my favorite Disney Princess movie I smile every time I wear it!

Wednesdays are one of my favorite days of the week (next to Tuesdays and Fridays) but they can also be a pain in the butt. Today it's a bit of both. On the great side I got bought tickets to see Beauty and the Beast the musical when it ventures to Buffalo, Arrow is new tonight and it's only 11 days until a new episode of Once Upon a Time!! Today I thought I'd share a fun, good day Wednesday outfit that is welcoming spring. Because it's taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r to arrive.

Happy Wednesday everybody! It's reached above thirty degrees here today and I am loving it. In perfect not-freezing-weather fashion I put together an almost spring wishlist. I'm really in love with this one. The shades of green and shades of pink perfectly compliment each other so nicely and the mixed textures are perfect for spring! I love it!

I believe that "I love you" are three of the most powerful, sacred words. I believe that while love has the ability to rip everything out from under your feet, you should feel safe. My Favorite Couples

Valentines Day is tomorrow and I have to admit it's not my favorite holiday but it does give me an excuse to peruse the Disney classics, rom-coms and every sappy love story ever invented. And I have. I've watched about 30 movies (and TV shows) where love was a main plot point in the last month. So I thought I'd share some of my favorite true love couples (and some favorite lines they've uttered).

Belle and The Beast [Beauty and The Beast] Beast: You.. you came back. Belle: Of course I came back. I couldn't let them.. oh, this is all my fault if only I'd gotten here sooner. Beast: Maybe... it's better - it's better this way. Belle: Don't talk like that. You'll be all right. Blue Valentine Styling

This outfit is heavily inspired by Friday's Hallmark holiday. I love reds and pinks but Kendi and Mara inspired me to make a "Blue Valentine" outfit and I have to say that I love it! And if you're like me and live in an incredibly chilly area you can always throw a cardigan over what you're wearing! 

Spring Crushing

Lately I've been crushing on spring hard.This winter has been brutal and I'm just itching to say "buh-bye" to all the freezing cold temperatures, icky snow (snow is only OK in December) and the boring outfits. Let me tell ya, you can only wear a sweater and pants so many ways. And don't even get me started on shoes!! But besides all the gross winter that's happening outside I'm stuck on spring. So stuck that I've bought quite a few things just for spring.

Girly With a Side of Edgy

Lately I've been thinking about doing some changes to step away from such a girly demeanor. I love being girly don't get me wrong but I also like to stretch to new limits. I've been doing it a lot lately with my online shopping (I ordered this skirt and this dress) but I wanted to do something now. This outfit is still girly with it's adorable little skirt and light color but the leather band and black booties make it somewhat edgier, to me at least.

I think all this want for some change comes from the changing of the seasons that's coming up. Winter is such a dead time, it's bitterly cold out, there are very few plants outside and after December snow is just a nuisance. Spring on the other hand is the start of new life, warming of the temperatures, melting of the snow and I like spring/summer. I love everything it brings (except bees I hate those things when they're buzzing in my face).
